A naming ceremony is a beautiful way to celebrate the birth or adoption of a child and mark the beginning of their life journey.

Traditionally, a religious ceremony such as a christening was the usual way of celebrating the birth of a child. Many parents who are not religious want to welcome their child into the world with a ceremony that is meaningful to them. A naming ceremony provides an ideal way for parents to formally welcome their child and make promises to them, supported by their closest family and friends and reflects the values and beliefs of the parents.

Some parents choose to hold a naming ceremony for other siblings at the same time, or to welcome step-children into a family, which can help to strengthen family bonds.

 

I will create a personalised and meaningful ceremony to welcome your child(ren) and can include readings, promises, music or any other symbolic gestures that hold significance for your family. Prices

My fees start from the prices stated below – as all ceremonies are bespoke the final cost may vary depending on what additional components are included:

Mid-week naming ceremonies (Mon-Fri) - 2025/2026 From £350

Weekend (Sat/Sun)/Bank Holiday naming ceremonies - 2025/2026 From £375

 

Price includes:

• A 1 hour face-to-face meeting where I will gather the notes I need to write a

bespoke vow renewal ceremony for you

• Ongoing communication as required – to include help writing your own vows if required

• A draft copy of your vow renewal for you to review and make any changes

necessary. I will make changes to your script up to two weeks before the

ceremony

Please note: (If you ask me to re-write the whole script this will be classed as 2

scripts – only 2 scripts are included in your fees and any additional scripts will incur a cost)

• 30 min run-through ahead of the day (on phone/video link)

• My attendance at the venue on the day of the vow renewal

• Officiating at your vow renewal on the day

• A commemorative certificate of your vow renewal

• A printed keepsake version of your vow renewal script, sent to you after your

ceremony

Additional Fees:

Additional fees will be charged to cover travel over a 30-mile radius from New Milton.

​

Additional fees will be charged at a rate of £50 per hour for any face-to-face rehearsals required before the event
