A civil funeral places the wishes, beliefs and values of the person who has died and their family, at the heart of the ceremony. It is a celebration of their life, not a service defined by the person conducting it. Every element is chosen because it feels right for you.

Planning a funeral for a loved one can feel overwhelming, so I will visit you at your home or somewhere comfortable for you. This time together allows me to listen, understand, and learn about the person you are remembering. From these conversations, I write a ceremony that honours their story — a personal, fitting memoir that feels true to the life that was lived.

Your ceremony can include readings, poems, music, personal tributes and moments of quiet reflection. There are no restrictions on religion, so prayers or hymns can be included if they hold meaning for you. The structure is flexible, allowing us to create something that feels natural, heartfelt and deeply personal.
